Manager Technical Services (Finance)
Summary:
This role drives technology strategy for assigned market(s) and provides recommendations on business strategy and product portfolio. This role collaborates with the business unit to clearly articulate the vision. Recommends appropriate strategy recommendations for the business product portfolio.
Essential Functions:
- Provides strategic interface between the technology function and business functions to stimulate, identify and shape technology demand, ensuring the potential business value is realized.
- Provides technical leadership that designs, develops, verifies and validates new product/technologies appropriate for the market and manufacturing.
- Leads strategic technology direction by identifying novel solutions to customer needs, new market trends and opportunities and provide strategic input on business growth opportunities. Build strong personal relationships with key customers and is seen as an industry expert.
- Drives collaboration with Research and Development and other functions as required.
- Maintains a culture of solution focused mindset based on the voice of customer and fosters effective customer engagements and interaction with a variety of market participants and end users of products.
- Exhibits strong know-how of customers, products, competitors, channels to market and customer-focused innovation. Leads by example and demonstrates consistent commitment to customer service excellence.
- Oversees the identification, collection, evaluation and execution of new product ideas or product extensions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- 8+ years of experience in research and development, new product development or application development
- Successful product development or application development history
- Experience in materials and material driven applications
- Experience in successful product and technology development
- Travel: Up to 50%
