Nemours is seeking a Sr Data Governance Analyst to join our Nemours Children's Health Team.
This is a Remote position.
As a Senior Data Governance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of our organization's data assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures. You will also be responsible for analyzing data-related issues, identifying areas for improvement, and driving initiatives to enhance data governance practices across the organization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and discrepancies.
Conduct data lineage analysis and metadata management to track and document data flows, transformation, and lineage.
Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance principles, practices, and technologies, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
Lead and facilitate data governance meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote awareness and adoption of data governance principles and practices.
Establish data quality metrics, thresholds, and KPIs to monitor and measure data quality.
Work with data stewards and business owners to remediate data quality issues and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
Participate in data governance sub committees and working groups to review and approve data-related initiatives, projects, and changes.
Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to data governance, data management, and data quality.
Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field required.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or data governance roles required.
Strong understanding of data governance principles, concepts, and best practices.
Proficiency in SQL, data profiling tools, and data quality management tools.
Experience with data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
