General Laborer - Manufacturing (Finance)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Adhering to production schedule, ensuring all parts are properly fitted, aligned and secured. Ensures that safety standards are always met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Fitting, aligning and tack welding assemblies other than welding pressure pipe
- Welding assemblies other than welded pressure pipe
- Pipe burning machine operators
- Filament winding machine operators
- Foam spray machine operators
- Foam pour machine operators
- Coating mill operators
- Yard crane operators
- Large forklift operators
- Mitered flame cutting of casing
- Plate burner machine operators
- Layout and flame cut of steel plate (heavy plate - i.e. MH tops, etc.)
- Tack welding supports to pressure pipe
- Sect tube welder operator
- Plasma sheet burn operator
- Chopped glass spray gun operators
- Fiberglass Lay-Up requiring Air Test/Hydro test
- Autotherm operator
- Extruder operator
- Machine beveling
- HGG Operator
- Straight Line operator
- Casing Welder
- Patch Spray operator
- Tube bending
- Performs other duties/ projects as assigned or as required by the position.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/REPORTING:
Reports to area Foreman
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED certificate is required
EXPERIENCE: Welding knowledge is preferred
QUALIFICATION/ REQUIREMENT: Strong customer orientation, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, computer proficiency, work well in a team environment.

- EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Foam spray machine, extruders, yard crane, large forklift, chopped glass spray gun, welding equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds; medium - up to 50 pounds regularly
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to work in extreme weather
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned (i.e. general labor).
MENTAL DEMANDS: Must handle diverse work problems on a daily basis. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Must relate and interact with people at all levels in the Company.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Subject to working both in cold and hot weather environments. Subject to noise and will require hearing protection. Includes variety of physical conditions, such as, proximity to moving parts, moving vehicles and exposure to high heat.
