Network Intern (Information Technology)
Essential Duties
Assist in the implementation, installation, configuration and technical support of network systems that use Ethernet and other technologies. Develop network documentation using GIS software, spreadsheets, drawings, and other means. Support WAN, LAN, and WLAN (Wifi) Networks including routing and switching. Maintain network systems including UPS systems, generators, network closets, network cabinets and other systems, including UPS systems, generators, network closets, network cabinets, pertinent to LAN/WAN operations. Assist in preparing customer quotes for broadband service. Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Interest in pursuing a career in a networking or Internet-related industry. Entry-level knowledge of network engineering, concepts, and terminologies.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Physical ability to travel to various work locations and to perform the duties listed above. Normal office environment with minimum discomfort due to noise, dirt, and dust. Work includes occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions, fumes, odors, noise, dust, dirt, etc.
