South Roanoke Nursing Home is currently recruiting for a Food & Nutrition Manager. The Food & Nutrition Manager is responsible for supporting the planning and directing of the Food & Nutrition Services Department. They participate in the total plan of care for residents; enhance productivity, ensure compliance; undertake staffing responsibilities (hiring, training, evaluating etc.), assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses, assist with staff scheduling, and perform other duties as requested by the Director of Food & Nutrition.
Food & Nutrition Assistant Manager Qualification
Graduate of state or ADA approved course in food services
Experience in an institutional food service operation
One-year supervisory experience
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of individual
Knowledge of dietary services practices and procedures
Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary services in a long-term care facility
