Pre Roll Operator (Manufacturing)
Position Summary:
The Pre-Roll Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of automated pre-roll machines. This role involves maintaining production standards, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Perform all pre-roll production activities including loading materials, operating preroll machine, quality checking, packaging, and labeling of large batches of productsPerform loading, unloading, and assembly operations as required for pre-roll production machine and equipmentPerform minor troubleshooting, minor machine repair, and basic preventative maintenance as instructedStrictly adhere to SOPs workflows and policiesFollow all health and safety requirements and ensure Pre-Roll room/area remains organized and kept in a sanitary conditionIdentify, communicate, and share best practices
Quality Control:
Inspect finished pre-rolls for quality, consistency, and accuracy.Ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies.Accurately weigh and measure product as needed.
Production and Efficiency:
Maintain accurate production records and logs.Meet or exceed production targets and deadlines.Optimize machine performance to maximize efficiency.Maintain a clean and organized work area
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.Follow all company policies and regulatory requirements.Report any safety hazards or concerns to management.Follow all sanitation guidelines
Material Handling:
Load and unload raw materials into the machines.Manage inventory of supplies and materials.Properly store and handle finished products.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience operating automated machinery is highly desirable.Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Strong attention to detail and quality.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.Basic computer skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Prior experience in a regulated industry is a plus
Preferred Skills:
Experience with specific pre-roll machine models.Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations (if applicable).Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to perform repetitive tasks.Visual acuity to inspect product quality.
