Manager, Rate Management (Finance)
Responsible for functions related to customer setup, rate setup and ongoing rate and customer maintenance functions in Salesforce CRM, SAP, 3PB and related operational systems. This Manager will drive department associates to plan, develop and execute initiatives that meet customer and company business objectives. This Manager will drive implementation, measure and monitor processes and help associates to avoid or overcome obstacles that will delay success.
What You'll Do :
• Responsible for managing, supervising, training and working with the staff on the Customer Rate Management team to successfully administer Americold's customer set ups and rate management processes.
• Achieves service objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
• Plans, directs and supervises customer account staff to ensure timely, accurate and complete processing of customer and rate set up.
• Continuously monitors contracts and identifies changes that impact the customer setups.
• Coordinates with Business Development and Operations regarding contracts and their impact with rates and rate maintenance.
• Monitors rate tables and new setups for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintains and develops Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Improves service quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating metrics; monitoring and analyzing results; implementing changes.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Monitors associate productivity levels while ensuring that all service levels are met.
• Ensures that all internal control, policy and procedure adherence is achieved through proper management and reporting functions.
• Organizes and maintains a thorough record keeping and reporting system to satisfy the position's administrative requirements.
• Remains cognizant of developments in technology and applying or recommending said technology when pertinent to customer and operations' needs.
• Organizes and maintains calendar for scheduling meetings, vacations and the determination of the appropriate shift/schedules to meet customer demand and operations' expectations.
• Other duties as requested.
What Experience and Education You Need :
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or equivalent education/experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in related field.
• 2-3 years of supervisory/management or team lead experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of warehouse and transportations operations is required.
• Strong computer skills. Proficient with MS Outlook, Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel required. Experience with Salesforce CRM and Oracle financials a plus.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is required.
• Demonstrated leadership, management and coaching skills required.

• May require travel by automobile and airplane up for business
• May require a visit facility operations in temperatures at or below freezing
• May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds
• Requires the use of various electronic tools
• Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes
• Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management
