Production Shift Supervisor (Manufacturing)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Supervise and coordinate activities of team members with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity Monitor the performance of the production lines, this could include decisions regarding film quality, machine operating conditions, or operating the line. Record daily production performance figures and send a report at the end of the shift Respond to emergency situations which arise in the area, such as dangerous situations requiring machine or plant shutdown, fire, threating weather conditions, personal injury, etc. Provide communication with the Director of Manufacturing as needed. Notify the Director of Manufacturing of machine problems or breakdowns. Ensure all shift CoAgo data is recorded accurately and put in the system (waste, refeed, time) Provide recommendations and evaluations concerning employee job performance, discipline, etc. to the Director of Manufacturing or Employee development supervisor Coordinate with maintenance any machine downtime because of machine failure and document corresponding repair (maintenance connect and verbal communication) Approve timecards. Assign overtime as needed according to the union contract. Follow all relevant policies and procedures (5S, Safety, ISO, ARC policies, Union contract)
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma/General Equivalency diploma 5 or more years manufacturing supervision experience Mechanical aptitude Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
