As an Engineering Technical Strategist for Kimberly-Clark, you will work in the North America Personal Care Research & Development team, reporting to the Huggies® D&C Senior Director. In this role you will provide technical leadership and champion strategic initiatives, machine innovation expertise, develop asset strategies, champion continuous improvement activities, build capability and provide project support when needed. This role will advise all levels of the organization, ensuring sound strategies for assets/equipment, development plans and ways of working. Expectation of role will be to build strong technical depth in others as a vehicle for technical talent development, and at times will also provide strategic point of views to Executive Leadership Team members. Scope of role will include leadership of broader activities across Kimberly-Clark North America segment R&D, Innovation Capability Teams, and Supply Chain teams.
In this role, you will:
Ensure engineering Innovation Capability Teams deliver machine innovation to support Personal Care business needs by being an indispensable technical partner with the Senior Director.
Support Personal Care business goals by building strong depth of technical engineering expertise across the Personal Care Innovation Capability Team.
Effectively influence Personal Care's engineering strategies by building strong credibility with senior leaders using effective communication, strong business acumen, and a passion to continuously improve.
Implement strategies to protect novel technology solutions to sustain identified advantage in market, including patents, trade secrets and other IP.
Conceive, develop, validate, and share ideas leading to new or improved products, processes, materials, systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives.
Champion and lead Lean management practices through Lean thinking and work methods (visual management, problem solving, continuous improvement, and strategy deployment).
Facilitate alignment for key decisions, work processes and roles/responsibilities as needed for assigned activities.
Provide leadership by example in corporate safety, quality, diversity & inclusion, regulatory, product safety and sustainability.
Manage self in accordance with the expected behaviors of the Kimberly-Clark Ways of Working.

10+ years relevant experience in R&E positions and bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
Deep subject matter expertise in Personal Care converting technologies, machine design, process development and commercialization of process and ancillary system capability.
Ability to recognize and improve the effectiveness of teams to deliver on both short-term business results, and also set the vision for engineering of the future.
Demonstrated capability to balance depth of technical expertise effectively with strong business acumen and indirect influence.
Proven capability to lead through others, including internal and external resources (OEM/TSP).
Motivated by the need to change and quickly evolve to the latest trends, business imperatives, etc., and capable of setting an associated technical vision or execution plan that inspires followership.
Solution-seeking disposition to dig into problems and work cross-functionally to resolve them
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad combination of manufacturing, staff engineering and/or consumer product development and global experiences
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in the Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering field.
Capabilities with Lean systems, large capital execution or developing intellectual assets

Salary Range: $ 157,720 – 194,760 USD

Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
