1. Designs solutions and sets up experiments in hybrid research environment.
2. Researches artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms, database design, deep learning, big data, and cloud computing.
3. Publishes research in peer review journals; presents research at conferences.
4. Writes technical reports and other project-related documents.
5. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MQ: Doctorate degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or related field; and (3) years related experience

The Department of Psychology at the University of Houston (UH) seeks to hire a Research Assistant Professor for the Research on Emotions, Treatment Outcomes, and Health Equity (RESTORE) Lab to conduct research on funded grant projects. UH is a Carnegie-Designated Tier One Public Research University. The successful applicant will be asked to conduct research transdiagnostic processes in the context of addiction, mental and physical health conditions. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, or equivalent, and an established track record in publishing peer reviewed articles on transdiagnostic processes with an emphasis on mental health (e.g., anxiety, depression, transdiagnostic factors) and physical health disorders (e.g., chronic pain) and contributions to grant activities. Experience in developing a line of research is preferred. Record of previous grant funding is also preferred. This position is for one year, beginning July 1, 2025 (anticipated), with the possibility of renewal.
