Engineering and Pollution Control Intern (Finance)
Essential Duties:
Assist Process Engineer with INFOR (enterprise asset management system) data gather, entry and reporting.Assist Process Engineer with HACH WIMS (laboratory and plant operations database) data gather, entry and reporting.Oversee small projects completed by contractors and internal maintenance.Work with operations staff to review and troubleshoot processes.Conduct research on equipment and gather quotes to assist with budgeting process.Help plant staff craft public outreach strategies (displays, tours, etc.).
Maintain and calibrate all safety, sample collection and flow monitoring equipment. Install and remove portable sampling and flow monitoring equipment in manholes, sampling vaults or streams. Record accurate data to accompany collected samples and inspections. Coordinate sample collection and preservation techniques. Perform all other tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree Program for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bio systems EngineeringPreferably Junior or Senior level. Sophomore may be considered depending on experience/abilityStrong academic credentialsAbility to work independentlyExcellent knowledge and experience in the use of computer applicationsStrong communications and interpersonal skillsMust maintain a valid Michigan Drivers License Must be 18 years old

Work includes proximity to environmental hazards associated with electrical, mechanical and/or power equipment.Work includes occasional exposure to fumes, odors, dust, dirt and/or contact with chemicals or toxins.
