Business Relationship Manager (E5510B) (Information Technology)
Job Summary This position serves as the interface and business relationship manager with the assigned business areas or groups with the responsibility for assisting the assigned business areas and groups to achieve their strategic technology and project goals. The primary responsibility is to be the IT point of contact for those areas and be their liaison for all IT-related matters. This job reports to the Senior Director, Global IT BRM and PMO, and will manage 0 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Serves as a vital point of contact for business stakeholders in the assigned business areas.
Provides IT expertise and guidance to leverage technology to achieve business initiatives.
Serves as a key player in assisting business units in realizing their business goals.
Communicates and collaborates with IT functional areas and staff to ensure required resources and alignment with business priorities.
Partners with the business to develop budgets and plans for their technology-related initiatives.
Communicate to the business all relevant IT processes, resources, capabilities, and strategic initiatives.
Maintains transparency and works cohesively with the Sr/Director and their team.
Communicates technology decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff.
Takes the lead in managing strategic projects.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist Senior Director, Global-IT BRM and PMO in developing plans, strategies, budgets and carrying out departmental initiatives.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical area Req
Master's or other advanced degree with a technical bachelor's degree Pref
Work Experience
7-10 years Experience in an IT organization Req
Experience planning and implementing IT solutions Req
Experience interfacing between IT and business units Req
Skills and Requirements
Solid understanding of the IEEE business, governance, and operating models.
Superb written and oral communication skills.
Ability to stay abreast of constantly evolving IT technology trends.
Ability to drive the delivery of projects on time and on budget.
Strong ability to work both independently and within teams.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building/management skills.
Ability to express technical concepts in simple business terms.
Ability to understand and clearly communicate business needs and identify effective solutions.
Ability to understand business strategies and to identify cost-effective technology solutions to enable those strategies.
Deep technical knowledge of system architectures and system integrations.
