About the Role
As our Dietary Director, you will oversee all aspects of food service operations, ensuring that residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing menus that meet dietary requirements and resident preferences
- Leading, training, and supervising the dietary staff to maintain high standards of service
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation and food handling procedures
- Managing food inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining budgetary controls
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary needs
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in dietary services, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of state and federal dietary regulations
- ServSafe certification for Managers
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and residents to create a positive dining experience
- Bachelors Degree in Food Service Management or 2 years working as a Dietary Director in a long term care facility is required.
