QC Analyst II Cell Therapy (Biotech)

At Lonza AG, we are excited to offer the outstanding opportunity for a QC Analyst II Cell Therapy to join our outstanding team in Houston, TX, USA. This role is integral to our mission, focusing on the detailed execution of quality control processes within the healthcare sector. As part of our elite organization, you will support our bold goals by ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met.
Performs Quality Control (QC) biological/cell based testing of Cell Therapy release and stability samples. Typical test methods performed include flow cytometry based assays, but analyst may also perform proliferation, ELISA, cell counts (manual and automated), and immunoflourescence microscopy/spectroscopy assays.
Supports Cell Therapy tech transfer by validating methods, training on new procedures, setting up equipment, and implementing protocols.
Performs general lab and equipment maintenance duties.
Performs other duties as assigned
A Bachelor's degree in a Scientific Field or equivalent; 0-4 years of confirmed experience in a scientific role within the healthcare or life sciences industry.
Shown experience in a scientific field, with a strong understanding of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with biological and cell-based assays, including flow cytometry.
Familiarity with performing scientific methods, procedures, and operating laboratory equipment.
Ability to perform tasks in strict adherence to cGMP and cGDP (current Good Documentation Practices) principles.
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
Ability to exercise sound judgment based on established practices and precedents.
Demonstrated understanding and consideration of others, fostering a supportive environment for improvement and collaboration.
