F5, Inc. seeks Network Support Engineer II in Seattle, WA:
Job Duties: Analyze customer network environments and customer specific data. Handle multiple active cases involving internal and external networks of diverse scope to determine the best network solution to either restore, resolve, or work around the customer's networking issues. Provide remote technical assistance on F5 network solutions to both internal and external customers and F5 partners. Demonstrate good judgment to select the best methods and techniques to provide a diverse scope of technical support (Level 1 to Level 3) to resolve problems and hardware and software issues on F5 networking product and services, based on data analysis of a complex set of customer specific factors. Communicate status, plan-of-action, and resolution of issues based on an ISO Quality Management System defined a set of procedures. Provide F5 customers and partners with a consistently high-quality networking support experience. Participate in ongoing training with F5 networking products and related technologies. Handle case escalations to tier 3 (Engineering Services) while maintaining customer communication, with limited assistance/mentoring from senior support personnel or management. Manage multiple routine cases and prioritize based on customer and business needs. Telecommuting is an option. Travel to the F5 offices is required 60% of the time.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Telecommunication and Networks, or closely related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) EIGRP; (2) OSPF; (3) TCP/IP; (4) VTP; (5) VLAN; (6) Ethernet; (7) Gigabit Ethernet; (8) SNMP; (9) Telnet; (10) SSH; (11) Cisco Prime; (12) Wireshark; and (13) Jarvis. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Travel to the F5 offices is required 60% of the time.
