What you'll do:
This consumer processing position will be focused on processing credit applications and reviewing for bank and regulatory compliance on various types of consumer loans. There will also be a considerable amount of customer service and support for an existing portfolio. Some analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various customer issues, and prioritize work. Position requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, assisting retail in customer service, and meeting deadlines. Individual must also be highly organized, able to multi-task effectively, and meet deadlines.
What you will be doing:
Perform EdFAC search for all new loan applications.
Run credit reports for all loans after review of application for dates, signatures, and required information.
Perform due diligence and review for all consumer loans with charter including but not limited to flood determinations, title reports, and title corrections.
Process approved loans for closing and post-closing.
Obtain all original loan documents from closing and forward to operations along with check lists.
Forward approved and denied employees loans to operations.
Obtain MyDec for all Cook County Collateral Assignments of Beneficial Interest.
Upload all loan files and documents to electronic filing system.
Upload all denials and withdrawals to electronic filing system.
Perform construction draws for C to P loans booked with charter. Upon completion of home, request any refund for inspection fees, obtain occupancy permit, and homeowner's insurance. Contact Loan Servicing regarding customer's intent for repayment schedule.
Request advances, payoff letters, maintenance, etc. for consumer loans.
Work the document exception report to clear items.
Assist co-workers on any questions regarding loans.
Obtain proof of release for refinanced real estate loans to satisfy FHLB pledging.
Submit invoices for payment for due diligence items, FedEx, etc.
Review credit bureau invoices to confirm credit was requested.
Send maturity letters to borrowers for maturing HELOCs.
Prepare demand letter for HELOCs maturing and not in process for renewal. When the 10-year commitment expires, if they are past due, Jo Onyx handles the Demand Letters. If the actual 20-year term has matured, there would be a zero balance.
Review weekly past due report to submit loans to head of department.
Work with commercial loans on Deloitte partner loans. This will include performing due diligence, uploading loan file, creating the term out documents, and having the loan booked.
Perform duties to clear items from audit and assist in audits.
Duties are not limited to and are subject to change.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of relevant experience with at least 1 year experience in banking or related field.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience reviewing and submitting bills and invoices; processing loan payment requests.
Strong attention to detail
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets (basic Excel skills), email and database software.

Compensation:
The estimated hourly salary range for this role is $23-$28.86, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
