Job Overview: Linde is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Production Technician to join the team responsible for our air separation processes. This role demands strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and dependability while working effectively within a team-oriented environment. As a Production Technician, you will oversee critical plant operations, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, and ensure the facility runs safely and efficiently. This position follows a day shift schedule (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday), includes rotating on-call duties, and reports directly to facility management. Primary Responsibilities: Responsibilities and duties of a Production Technician include: - Work an 8-hour day shift in a 24/7/365 plant environment. - Adhering to all company safety and environmental policies. - Starting and shutting down equipment and processes. - Monitor and adjust equipment and plant process within operating parameters. - Correctly performing valve line-ups. - Preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-out. - Issue Permit-to-Work Permits prior to performing maintenance work. - Use sound professional judgment while operating the facility in a safe, dependable, and efficient manner. - Hone personal procedure development and training with other employees. - Effectively communicate with our customers and suppliers - Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs. - Perform Instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs. - Perform Analyzer calibrations and troubleshooting. - Execute Pipeline locates. - Complete other duties as assigned. The Production Technician must be able to perform basic troubleshooting of process, electrical and Instrumentation issues, and recognize when to escalate matters that require more experienced specialists. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - 2 + years Production Operations experience or associate's degree with previous internship in Plant Operations - Strong interest in and experience with electrical and mechanical systems. - Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft applications). - Proficiency with a variety types of hand tools, meters, instrument calibration equipment, etc. - Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors. - Must be able to climb ladders and steps, lift to 50 lbs., and work at heights. - Must be able to work on-call as required. Preferred Qualifications: - Associate's degree or higher preferred. - Strong electrical troubleshooting background highly preferred.
