Prototype Technician (Manufacturing)
SUMMARY OF CLASSIFICATION:
This description summarizes the requirements of a technician-level employee performing in the Prototype area classifications. Perform operations necessary to develop and prototype new products or experimental processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Current and valid weld certifications a plus.
Ability to apply concepts of complex algebra and geometry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs. Employees also frequently bend, twist, and reach and may stand and/or walk up to 8-10 hours per day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Job consists of working in a manufacturing facility. Job could consist of making changes by hand or by running machinery equipment.
