Reports to: CFO Job Description Job Summary: The Project Accountant is assigned to the Timber Processing and Tracking job costs will provide accurate, complete, and verified summaries to the CFO and Leadership Team. The Project Accountant for the Timber division is to resolve issues as they arise, complete all load summaries and scale tickets each day they are delivered for daily accurate reporting. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Handle all data entry for projectsHandle all invoicing for projectsCommunicate and take instruction from Controller or Asset Manager regarding project data entryReview contracts for any pertinent information, i.e., payment terms, ratesTrack ReceivablesConfirm payablesAudit for discrepanciesFuel CostingCommunicate with sub-contractors and track payment calendarEnsure cross billing is occurring if applicableTimber data trackingTimber recons verify to Forest Service SOAs (Statement of Account)Track letter of credits new/expirations/completed jobsOrganize all correspondence and records for Timber SalesTimber yield taxesTrack Stewardship credits for applicable salesCorrespondence with Forest Service Personnel when applicableComplete Form TsReport/update with Controller on a regular basisSet up Costing with Asset Manager and Controller, enter into NetSuite, communicate costing with bookkeepers, payroll, HREnter payroll data in NetSuite for CostingCreate Standard Operating Procedures Required Skills/Abilities: Excel at meeting deadlines and maintain the daily workflow of the department.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent reconciliation experience, and able to identify errors and fix them.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.10 Key by touchMust be able to type 45 wpm.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Performs other related duties as assigned.
