Application Engineering Manager (Finance)
The Nuts and Bolts
• Manage the daily workload of Application Engineers, Estimators and Order Entry team members
• Provide leadership and accountability for achieving engineering objectives in cost, quality, delivery, performance, and safety
• Maintain the process and standards for specifying and quoting customer needs
• Maintain quote accuracy and profitability standards
• Report on department KPI's and project status
• Collaborate with customers and sales team members to ensure needs are met in a timely manner
• Responsible for the accuracy of information being provided to internal and external customers
• Responsible for leading the organization and success of pre-build and pre-inspection meetings with our operations facilities
• Manage the travel schedule for the Application Engineers
• Responsible for compliance and regulation adherence
• Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, train, and develop new employees
• Ensure engineering staff provides customer support before, during, and after the sale
• Create and modify 3D models and AutoCAD drawings for assemblies, parts, schematics, etc.
• May perform structural analysis for new and existing engineered components
Required Credentials
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum five (5) years of engineering management experience required
• Project management experience preferred
• Experience with quotations and order entry preferred
• After-market automotive system design experience preferred
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system experience preferred
• Solidworks
• AutoCAD
• MS Officeand Excel
• Technical Writing
• Effective oral and written communication; excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• The ability to collaborate with a multi-department team
