Senior Vice President of Mission Services (Project Management)
Goodwill SWPA seeks a Senior Vice President of Mission Services (SVP) to provide strategic leadership, oversight, and integration of all mission-focused programs and services at Goodwill SWPA. As a member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the President & CEO, the SVP plays a key role in shaping and driving the agency's priorities and long-term vision. This role includes managing Human Services (education and training, career and disability services, housing), Goodwill Commercial Services (Ability One program), and Business Services (Unique Source program). Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing the Vice President of Human Services, Director of Commercial Services, and Manager of Business Services. The SVP will work in partnership with the CEO and a committed Board of Directors to uplift the mission and ensure an atmosphere of innovation, accountability, and transformational leadership through a holistic and broad approach to human services and its related areas.
Goodwill SWPA's most valuable asset is its people. The SVP ensures comprehensive integration of mission principles across the entire organization, reinforcing alignment with Goodwill's strategic objectives and values-driven culture.
The SVP will be primarily responsible for the following:
Mission Integration and Strategic Leadership:
Lead the organization-wide integration of Goodwill's mission and core values into operational strategies and business practices.
Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with Goodwill SWPA's mission and organizational objectives.
Ensure alignment of mission-driven services with long-term organizational goals, fostering consistency across all regional and programmatic efforts.
Program Oversight and Collaboration:
Oversee strategic development, coordination, and performance of Human Services, Goodwill Commercial Services, and Business Services.
Cultivate and maintain effective interdepartmental collaboration to ensure cohesive program delivery and optimal service outcomes. Providing oversight to ensure talent acquisition is an equitable and inclusive process.
Lead efforts to standardize and optimize services across multiple locations and state lines while remaining responsive to local community needs.
Community Engagement and Partnerships:
Maintain regular communication with external partners to stay aligned on community needs and emerging trends.
Engage with stakeholders across regional and state jurisdictions to identify new opportunities and expand mission services.
Cultivate strategic partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and industry partners.
Represent Goodwill SWPA in external forums, advocating for the organization's mission and fostering community relationships.
Financial and Operational Excellence:
Prepare and manage departmental budgets ensuring fiscal responsibility, sustainability, and alignment with strategic priorities.
Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to guide decision-making, enhance service quality, and drive continuous improvement.
Coordinate operational planning and resource allocation across regional sites to maximize impact and efficiency.
Ensure financial oversight aligns with strategic objectives and supports long-term organizational health.
Talent Development and Organizational Culture:
Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for direct reports and mission services staff.
Promote a positive, inclusive, high-performance organizational culture that aligns with Goodwill's values.
Mentor and develop emerging leaders, ensuring succession planning and long-term sustainability of mission services.
Growth of Ability One and Unique Source Programs:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the growth goals of Ability One and Unique Source programs.
Strengthen operational capacity and workforce alignment to meet performance standards of government contracts.
Engage in strategic planning to diversify and scale existing contracts while ensuring mission alignment.
Collaborate with national and regional partners to elevate Goodwill SWPA's visibility and credibility in Ability One and related markets.
Seek innovative strategies for expanding market share and increasing impact within the Ability One and Unique Source programs.
Uphold and enforce Goodwill SWPA's policies and procedures:
Maintain a current and up-to-date understanding of and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $165,000 - $180,000 and a progressive benefits package. The work environment is hybrid, with the expectation of more in-office work than remote.
